KONBU® Recycled Nylon 160D Twill 150D RPET Ripstop
500D Nylon CORDURA® 150D RPET Ripstop

Our KONBU® range uses a Japanese recycled nylon fabric made with a unique processing technique: each fibre is swollen to increase its volume, then compressed back down. The result is a sturdy, structured yet impressively lightweight fabric with a dry, papery handfeel – a little like dried seaweed (its namesake). A twill weave adds texture, softness and extra abrasion resistance.

The Konbu Hour by Hour features a CNC-milled buckle made from 7-series aircraft-grade aluminium, and YKK zips with chunky metal sliders. It has a large zip opening and a front organiser pocket with 2 sleeve pockets and a key clip, a quick-access rear zip pocket, and an adjustable shoulder strap.

Made from approximately 100% recycled fabrics, exterior: KONBU® Recycled Nylon 160D Twill and interior: 150D RPET Ripstop.

Measurements: Height: 20CM, Width: 26CM, Depth: 12CM, Volume: 3.5L, Weight: 0.35KG.

KONBU® Recycled Nylon 160D Twill 150D RPET Ripstop

A 100% recycled nylon fabric made with a unique processing technique; each fibre of the fabric is swollen to increase volume and then compressed back down. This results in the fabric feeling more dense and structured without affecting weight of the product but also has a really nice, dry papery handfeel, a little like dried seaweed. The twill weave gives an added layer of texture and softness as well as some extra abrasion resistance.

Hour By Hour

A lightweight recycled polyester fabric with a ripstop weave. The ripstop grid helps boost tear resistance and adds a subtle textured feel. It’s water resistant and made from 100% recycled PET bottles, and it’s mainly used as the lining inside our bags.

500D Nylon CORDURA® 150D RPET Ripstop

A mid-weight CORDURA® fabric. Made from high tenacity nylon 6,6 CORDURA® yarn, this fabric is incredibly strong. Much lighter and with a finer weave than the 1000D equivalent, the 500D is still highly tear-resistant and abrasion resistant. Enhanced water-resistant specification, made for Crumpler.

This fabric has a hydrostatic head rating of 1,000mm, meaning it can withstand water pressure equivalent to a 1 metre column of water before moisture begins to penetrate, as measured by hydrostatic head testing.
